Once more unto the breach…
Just in case anyone still reads this forlorn and forgotten blog (as in, you haven’t deleted its RSS feed from Google Reader), I’m going to start it up again, see what I can do with it. First and foremost I’ve decided to use it as a place to post my shitty art, but also I’ve always been meaning to use it as a vessel to improve my web design. Now that I’m studying HCI, I think I’d like to have a place where I can easily play around with that, and I figure my own site works well. But first, some shitty art.
Without further ado I give you… a birthday card!
That’s right, I still make my mother a card for her birthday. Only this time I kind of kicked things up a notch. I used card stock color paper to make the cake, which I cut out using an x-acto knife (fancy, I know). The text I wrote using a calligraphy pen (which I bought by happy accident). The font is inspired by Irish uncial, although as there is no “y” in Irish, I had to improvise.
Anyway, expect more soonish. I’m trying to increase my on-line footprint after years of trying to minimize it.
