Work and a TV marathon…
Saturday, March 29th, 2008My poor neglected blog! I’m surprised it hasn’t destroyed the remainder of the site, tearing up the rug and leaving little surprises all over the place. But, nay, it has the patience of a saint, awaiting my hackneyed entries. Who would have thought that me, of all people, might be busy (and lazy, the second reason behind the lack of updates). Today started at 6:30 AM (and not midnight, for some strange reason), as my iPhone played its kah-razy alarm. I was going into work, for reasons still unclear to me, but it did bring with it benefits. I got a few things done, and treated myself to lunch at Potbelly’s (including a chocolate malt… Mmm… Chocolate malt…). Plus, by the time I got home, I still had the whole afternoon ahead of me. This afternoon has, somewhat predictably, been thoroughly wasted watching the Avatar marathon and attempting to teach myself Mandarin phonology; of course, I’ve always thought productivity was overrated. At least now I know the difference between the retroflex fricative and the alveolo-palatal fricative… Now my biggest challenge is trying to determine what I should cook up for dinner. That may take a few hours to bring to fruition…
